ERNST Neptun EKB1500 automatic grinding machine, wet dust separation (with corrosion resistant additive).

Part sizes that can be processed:

• Without form from 80x80 mm to 1500x3000 mm
• Max. sheet thickness: 30 mm
• For machining smaller parts a form must be prepared

Materials that can be processed:

• Carbon steel thick sheets, thin sheets
• Hot-dipped sheets
• Corrosion resistant and acid-resistant materials (film covered as well)
• Corrosion resistant and stainless steel
• Film coated sheets
• Aluminium
• Brass

During machining the equipment sprays the machined material with water containing corrosion inhibitor, and dries it at the completion of the operations, respectively. As a result the components do not get corroded and the customer receives clean parts.

Machining:

• Deburring- Deburring module: removing the burrs produced during sheet cutting in a way that the surface of the sheet does not get damaged.
• Chamfering, rounding off - Round brush module: rounding off the edges of the completed parts by using a lamellar grinding roller without damaging the sheet surface or the protective film.
• Aesthetic grinding, brushing - Belt grinding module: the aesthetic grinding of the surface following sheet metal machining for flat components.
• Removal of oxide film, preparation of workpieces for painting - Round brush module: the removal of the oxide film formed during flame, plasma and laser cutting; preparation of the component for painting or welding
• Descaling
