Feeling good by doing good
David Pavlényi is a 23-year-old handball player who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma (cancer of the lymph glands) in late 2011. The chemotherapy treatments did not help after a while, thus for his prospective recovery he needs a very expensive series of treatments costing 3.5 million HUF at every occasion. Dávid has already undergone two of these treatments and thanks to this he is able to run again. However, his full recovery needs another 6 treatments.
The Hungarian Handball Federation launched a fundraising auction organised by Sportklub TV for supporting David's treatment. During the event the jersey of László Nagy famous handball player was auctioned. This jersey was signed by the whole Hungarian national handball team. Melior Laser also bid at the auction and finally won; for 100.000 HUF the jersey is ours and is presented in the Melior office.
The total revenue of the auction will be transferred to the "Egy Mosolyért" Foundation, but to support the treatment the foundation expects all further help can be given.
