Europe's most prestigious model railway manufacturer Märklin came to us with a challenging task. Sheet metal parts for constructing small-size models have to be made with very high accuracy.
In sheet metal services high machining accuracy is always a priority, but this time the technological expectation was to achieve a really tight tolerance. During supplier selection only our company could meet the customers' needs with such parameters.
Two of the sheet metal parts are manufactured with laser cutting. One is made from 0,8 mm copper the other is from 2 mm steel. One component is prepared from 2 mm copper with punching which proved to be more advantageous in this case.
