Functionality and aesthetics are important aspects during the sheet metal process of the furniture parts shown in the film.
The sheet metal part is processed from a 6mm cold rolled 1.4301 stainless steel sheet with laser cutting, bending, machining and polishing.
During production is was a challenge to handle and preserve the surface of the parts. In this case the customer required an even more aesthetics surface than what the (factory ground) raw material could offer. Thus we had to insert a polishing step to the sheet metal fabrication process. The result was a K30 ground surface and these parts could be build in the final product which is a premium furniture product.
During transport the surface of the part is protected with a special packaging.
