Our partnership dates back to 2004 with Jozsef Cserkuti, the famous Hungarian race car driver. (23 times Hungarian National Championship title, Vice-European Hill-Climb Championship title) After 30 years in real race sport Mr Cserkuti started building and developing model race cars.
The first model, named RS5, was completed in 1997. In its debut year RS5 won the Hungarian Championship followed by several other national championship titles.
In 2004 the development of a Formula One car was launched and the prototype was successfully introduced on the European Championship in Göteborg in 2005. Following a 2 year long development and testing period the RS5 Formula One Car won its first ever European Championship title in 2007 and the model car has been racing very successfully since all over the world.
In our cooperation Melior Laser produces stainless sheet metal parts for the model cars: brake disks, metallic pads, shimps, etc.
