The sheet metal part what is being bent is for the communication segment and it is of 2mm thick AlMg3 Alloy Aluminum. The unique tool (investiment just over 10,000 EUR) reduces the standard manufacturing time. The unique tool reduces the standard time by investing over 10,000 EUR. Thus the sheet metal parts (between 500 and 1000 per month) are manufactured with a significant time savings.
With this special tool the part is manufactured in one step as without these 4-step bending in necessary. The part is bent with guaranteed radius at a length of 1280 mm.
The geometry of the component which has been verified by our partner with radio frequency measurements, has a special significance. It is important to keep production accuracy and tolerances. The perfect operation of the part is only guaranteed with tolerances of + - 0.2 mm.
