Complex sheet metal parts made of acid proof, austenitic stainless steel were manufactured for our German partner, a renowned company in the energy industry. The challenge in sheet metal fabrication this time was the complexitiy of the parts and the short deadline.
After lasercutting stainless steel it underwent bending and machining, then some parts were compiled with welding. After the fabrication process packaging great attention had to be paid to packaging.
13 tons acid-proof stainless steel (1.4404 alloy) were processed from within 2 weeks of order and we delivered on time the 2,3,4 and 5 mm thick lasercut, bent, machined, welded and ground sheet metal parts.
In order to fulfill the order of 12 types of articles we had to carry out nearly 70 hours lasercutting, 30 hourd bending, 30 hours machining and 400 hours welding in a very short period of time.
As a result of the extremely thight work schedule finally 20 pallets (8 tons) sheet metal parts were delivered to our partner.
