Perfection in focus: our complex aluminium sheet metal fabricated parts are currently manufactured in small series. However, we are making preparations for big series production with of production optimization and automation.

What opportunities does a Hungarian middle sized enterprise have in introducing industrial automation? In this article we are looking for an answer and give examples of such implementation in Melior Laser.

Aluminum sheet metal fabrication work is a typical task for us. The aluminium sheet metal parts are used in end products of various industries, most often in the electronics industry. Recently we have been manufacturing aluminum enclosures in medium series for our Hungarian customer.

Our sheet metal parts made with bending and laser cutting can be found in Máté Bence, the world-famous nature photographer's  outdoor exhibition installation. 

In 2019, we continued our cooperation with the racing team of BME (Budapest University of Technology and Economics) university students. This time we assisted in the building of an electronic self-driving race car with our sheet metal fabrication expertise and experience manufacturing sheet metal parts for this project.

When bending sheet metal parts, regardless of which industrial segment the customer comes from, the key factor is bending accuracy. If the bending is inaccurate, the end product is useless. The conditions of high precision sheet metal bending are high quality press brake, but more important the operator's professional knowledge, experience and precision. The measuring and its recording of the bent part is also essential. This process is completely digitalised at Melior Laser.  

In some industries it is of the outmost importance that the fabricated sheet metal surface should not only be aesthetic, but it also has to meet serious hygiene requirements. We have developed a grinding process for this, so that the surface of the stainless steel part fully meets the expectations.
